Round image corners for cards, avatars, and thumbnails

Rounded corners can give an image a softer shape for a presentation, product card, or profile graphic. The radius controls the curve at each corner: a small radius barely changes the edges, while a larger radius creates a more pronounced silhouette. The image content stays inside the rounded boundary.

Download rounded images with transparent corners

The checkerboard in the preview represents transparent pixels. It is a display aid, not part of your image. PNG and WebP can preserve these transparent corners so the graphic sits neatly on different page backgrounds. JPG does not support transparency and uses a flat background instead.

Make a square image before rounding its corners

For a square app-style graphic or a round avatar, start with the Square Crop tool if your source is rectangular. A rectangular image with a large corner radius still has rectangular proportions; rounded corners alone do not make its width equal to its height.
